On 2-3 October 2025, FAO will host the Global Forum for Animal Feed and Feed Regulators at its headquarters in Rome, Italy. The event will be organized in collaboration with the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF). To register and for further information, please visit the event page.
On the first day, participants will explore how the feed sector can contribute to the sustainable transformation of the livestock sector and more specifically, they will have an opportunity to share state-of-the art knowledge to scale up successful experience on the use of innovative technologies and processes to increase feed availability and to enhance the sustainable and safe use of locally available feed sources, including grains, pasture, forage and products of circular economy (e.g. agro-industrial by-products, insects, former food products, etc.). The second day, the session titled “International Feed Regulators Meeting”, will provide a discussion platform for national and regional feed regulatory competent authorities and private sector representatives to engage in public-private dialogue and address together the challenges of the sector. The event will be accompanied by an exhibition that will showcase successful innovative solutions for increased availability of sustainable, safe, and quality feed.
